So I called admissions today in regards for the spring 2012 transfer. And she basically told me I won't be admitted. Why? You may ask. Because my high school gpa overall was a 2.90 and my college gpa as of now is a 3.25 with 17 hours after this semester. I need 60 credits for them not to look at my hs transcript and sat scores. :(

Yes, the admissions website clearly states that transfers with under 60 hours MUST meet both freshman requirements and transfer requirements, and be competitive from both freshman stats and transfer stats aspects. Keep working hard and apply for when you will have 60 hours or an AA. Good luck.

I think I’ll retake the sat. And get a higher score.

That’s still not going to help your GPA… just stick it out in CC until you have those 60 credits. Don’t waste money on the SAT.

You still wont be admitted with that low of a gpa. I was in the same boat. A similar gpa and all. I was determined and will finish my AA in the spring (this semester). I did this in exactly two years and I was accepted as a transfer with a ok gpa. Just get your aa and you will be good
