I paid my deposit last week and applied for housing! :)

Anyone else planning on attending the U?

I am! I haven't paid my deposit, but have applied for housing, and I'm pretty excited.

I'm pretty much 100% sure, haven't paid my deposit or applied for housing yet though. Probably should get on the 2nd thing, but I'm just trying to wait until the scholarships come. Anyone know how quickly Frontier and Middlebrook fill up?

I think I would send in the housing deposit sooner than the scholarsip notifications because all the housing may be gone by then.

how is riverbend? i remember my brother lived there and i thought it was pretty good.

What was your first choice for housing?

eeeeric - I've never heard of Riverbend. Maybe the wrong name?

jotajota - I said Middlebrook, then Frontier for my second choice. How about you?

1st. Territorial (with the Carlson LC)
2nd. Frontier
3rd. Middlebrook
(the rest don't really care)

I just wanted that all freshman feel on and being close to everything on the east bank even though I'm in CSOM.

apparently they changed the name. riverbend is now yudof hall.

oh, and how is sanford hall? Is it nice and quiet?

Sanford is kind of away from everything else. The thing that I don't like about it is that the shuttle that goes there only runs every 15 minutes AND it only stops on the West Bank. It's not too far to walk (probably those same 15 minutes) but on a cold December/February night the last thing you want to be doing is standing at a bus stop.

alright, I am currently a freshman at the U and during my senior year, i was super reliant on what people said on college confidential so i decided to see what people were saying this year after i am at the U and love it.

as far as housing goes, living on the superblock is really helpful in terms of meeting people bc there is people all around. stanford is kind of a walk from class and stuff. middlebrook is mainly for people who are more artsy and its on west bank, so idk how it goes as far as partying wise. bailey is cool for people who have farming or design related majors. i know some people who live there and they love it, but then again they have alot of classes on saint paul.

territorial and frontier are the two freshman dorms. i LOVE thall, and it has a tunnel to centennial, which has the cafeteria, the food is eh, but it is open on the weekend opposed to the cafeteria in pioneer which isn't open on the weekends. (aka its good not to have to go outside to eat on the weekends in the winter). there are pros and cons of all the dorms.. just depends on your needs.

Just wanted to say Congratulations to those of you chosing to come here next year!! You're going to love it.
