Well, what are my chances with my new SAT score?

Asian-American Male
3.4 Unweighted GPA(9th-11th); 3.6 Weighted GPA(9th-11th); 3.5 School GPA(School includes 8th Grade French and Math)

SAT I: 1420(M:720; V:700)
However, my best in one sitting is 1400(M:720; V:680)

SAT II's: They were bad. Retaking Math and Writing in Nov. US History: 690

AP Scores: English Lang(4); US History(4); Biology(5)

Senior Year Schedule
AP World History
AP English Literature
Latin III
AP Calculus AB
Chemistry
AP Comparative Goverment
AP US Goverment
DC History(School requirement)

Main thing I'm worried about is my weak GPA. I've had 4 C's throughout high school(2 in 9th Grade in Art & French II, 1 in 10th Grade in Hon. Algebra II, and 1 in 11th grade in Elementary Functions). Rest of grades have been A's and B's.

Live in Washington DC, and 9th grade is Jr High here, so I don't know if colleges will take that into consideration. Also, grading scale in DCPS is 94-100 A, 85-93 B, so I don't know if that helps as well.

E.C.'s
Varsity CrossCountry(9th-11th) Placed in top 10 in city wide championships.
Latin Club(12th Grade) We tried to get it going in 11th grade, but fell through, and only started now.
It's Academic(10th-12th) Member of Practice Squad
Philosophy Club(12th grade) Again, didn't start until this year, and only joined really because my friend founded it and needed members.

Summer Activities
10th Grade (120 hours of community service for Student Conservation Association SCA)
11th Grade (Worked as an intern at a Law firm located in Rockville,MD.)

Awards
Magna Cum Laude (10th Grade) National Latin Exam
Cum Laude(11th grade) National Latin Exam
President's Award for Educational Achievement
Can I count places I got in City Wide Crosscountry meets as awards? If so, 8th Place in 9th grade, 3rd place in 11th.

Schools I will be applying to:
University of Michigan
University of Wisconsin-Madison
University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign
Penn State - University Park
Ohio State - Columbus
University of Minnesota - Twin Cities
UMass - Amherst
University of Washington - Seattle
Tulane
UCLA ( I know, but it's only one app)
UC San Diego
UC Irvine
UC Davis
UC Santa Barbara

Any thoughts anyone could give me. Which schools are reaches? Matches? Safeties? Any and all thoughts would be greatly appreciated. If you need more basic info, let me know, thanks.

bump...Again any thoughts would be helpful. I really don't have many other sources, as I don't have much help at my school from counselors, and neither of my parents went to college, so they can't really help me much as well.

For the UCs, only your 10th and 11th grade GPA counts, and it is weighted- but according to special criteria. You should calculate the UC" GPA. Requirements are higher for out of state students at UCs, but your SAT I scores are competitive, and if you get your SAT IIs up, chances look pretty good, especially for the mid-ranked UCs.

Sorry, I'm not as familiar with the other colleges.

Dusk2k:

Michigan: Match
UW-Madison: Safe Match
UIUC: Safe Match
Penn State: Safe Match
Ohio State: Safety
Minnesota: Safety
UMass: Safety
Washington - Seattle: Safe Match
Tulane: Match

UCLA: Reach (out of state)
UCSD: Match (out of state)
UCD: Safe Match (out of state)
UCSB: Safe Match (out of state)
UCI: Safe Match (out of state)

Any other opinions. It looks like Flopsy has a optimistic viewpoint. Anyone have any other thoughts about my chances?
