Hello! I am a candidate for the ED pool for Wellesley Class of 2023! I was wondering if anyone knew the exact date the results came out last year for ED candidates. Also, can anyone tell me a few interview questions that are commonly asked by the interviewer from Wellesley?
I’m a sophomore at Wellesley, but I didn’t apply ED so I’m not really sure when the dates are but generally you’ll hear around Christmas time if you apply for the first round. As for the interview, it’s pretty standard! An alum will probably ask you why you want to go to Wellesley, why single sex education is important to you, etc etc. Make sure you think of questions ahead of time to ask your interviewer!
Hi! I’m also applying ED for Wellesley Class of 2023, and I have an off campus interview coming up soon. I’m hoping it’s going to be more like a friendly chat rather than a really formal interview! Some questions I would prepare answers to would be, as ioconnor said, why you chose an all girls school, or be able to talk about yourself such as hobbies, favorite classes, or current issues you’re concerned about. Good luck!
Many students enter interviews as though they are in an interrogation process. Try to remember that the interviewer is also interested in finding out about you and your perspectives. Can you think on your feet! Can you be straight forward, honest and communicate well?
I still remember a college interview many years ago when I was particularly nervous. The interviewer was sitting in a wheelchair in a black suit and seemed very polite, but formal. My communication skills vanished.
You are going to be President of the US and you can ask your own questions!
Good luck!
@tiiffaany I found out around 6:30 PM EST on December 7 last year. I deferred to the Class of 2023, so maybe I’ll see you there!
