Where do you find out if you got into Wellesley for early decision and what time will we find out (pacific time)?

My stomach has major butterflies…
I reallllly hope I get good news, but even if I don’t, I am really glad I did ED just in case

We can do this :)

On the Wellesley Portal, are these the only boxes left for you?

yupp valere. its is for me.

It is 1 day, 0 hours, 55 minutes and 35 seconds until Friday, December 10, 2010 at 7:00:00 PM (Concord time)

hoping hoping hoping!

Does anyone else feel this way?
Although I do not want to be rejected, I’d rather be rejected than deferred, only because I want to know the final decision. And having to wait again would kill me. I would rather know I’ve been rejected, and find a way to move on and try to build up enthusiasm for another school.

Maybe I’ve been thinking about this too much because I’m so nervous. I need Friday 7pm to come now!!

Okay, so for those of you who were worried about not having the breakdown of the cost of attendance under their financial aid checklist, I e-mailed the financial aid office about it.
This is their reply back:

Thank you for your inquiry. No, this is not significant in any way, whatsoever. A computer glitchcaused this mix-up. This in no way reflects admission decisons.

Yeah, so basically, they claim that this is not an indication of decisions. So people who have been worrying about this, don’t fret. You still have a chance!

evelyn5356, ahhhhh thank you so much! That had me worrying like no other…

Ladiesss, only one day left…!! :')

thanks evelyn5356 for letting us know!

less than 24 hours everyone!!

I checked my Wellesley portal and it looks… so empty… LADIES WE ARE LESS THAN TWENTY FOUR HOURS AWAY! We can do this!!!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
23 hours 30 minutes AHH!!!

Are we going to be posting after we get our notices tomorrow?
It would be nice if we all got in and we still kept in contact and met at Wellesley.
That would be wonderful.

I hope the best of luck to everyone. And if you don’t get in, don’t be too upset.
If you dwell on it for too long, it’ll just affect the rest of your application process.

I’ve decided to assume that I got rejected so that I won’t be too disappointed. That’s actually what my mom told me to do. That way, if I do get rejected, I won’t feel too bad. It will be expected. Haha. Some of my friends are doing that too. So, I’m more at peace now after “accepting” this fact.

Hope to hear some good news tomorrow!

UGH every time I think about it I get the chills and goosebumps ![]()
I already know if I get in tomorrow…I’m walking out of work and dancing in the street.
Jumping over my counter, past my boss, to crump in the street.

LOL snowwball, that would be a very interesting scene for bystanders to watch hahaha

Evelyn5356, I wish I can convince myself to having been “rejected”…I’m so nervous right now I don’t even know how to go through school tomorrow :(

I just created a thread for ED results/stats that we can start posting in tomorrow when results come out (AH!)

And I remember last year that someone created a FB group for all who were accepted so we should definitely do that again this year so we can keep in contact.

21 hours about! AH!

It is 0 days, 20 hours, 59 minutes and 48 seconds until Friday, December 10, 2010 at 7:00:00 PM (Concord time)

just keep swimming, just keep swimingg…
AH!

thanks ligers for the Decision thread!!
and yes, we should totally have a FB page for those who are accepted~

I have a question… Does Wellesley defer any of its ED applicants? I was looking through last year’s decisions threads and no one said they got deferred.

I know the results posted on here aren’t an accurate representation of the population as a whole because the sample is completely biased, but I can’t help but wonder!

ligers: My daughter’s counselor told her that deferrals in ED only happen in cases where grades are iffy. Deferrals give the college a chance to see what direction the student is heading. If other aspects of the application are weak, that does not warrant a deferral; the student is rejected outright.

By the way, I feel like a total moron, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how the decision template works.

I was a bit confused about what Wellesley looked at. There were some kids last year who got C’s on their report cards for junior year, but they got accepted, I think, because their essays, SAT scores, and activities are good. There are others who have good grades, but little to none leadership activities and got rejected. Wellesley looks for a well rounded person I guess?

I’m so glad we find out our ED results early unlike some of my friends who have to wait until the 23rd. That is awfully long and I would not be able to concentrate!!
