Wellesley vs. Emory

What do you guys think? They're both pretty awesome.
Biology at either is awesome.
Right now music is pushing me towards Emory though... Agh, I'm so torn.

Hey I know EXACTLY what you are going through. I can't decide between Wellesley and Chicago either. But how's music pushin you to Emory though?

hmmmmm..i am sending my letter to emory to say i am not interested today so....
i want to major in biology, and tyes both are good but i have a feeling about wellesley being the right fit. plus its in MA = good internship opportunities, experience, etc etc.

Emory is a beautiful campus but hey I live in AZ, kinda wanted to go east coast.

i probably didnt help but good luck :)

pengwinsrawk- im having the same problem deciding between wellesley and emory, which is less $ and closer, much closer to home...

I was wait-listed at two of my top choices but since Wellesley was one as well, it's likely I'll go there. Are you from the south originally? If you were, I would completely understand some of your dilema...

Actually cherrygarcia, I just got my financial package from emory a while ago, which made the deciding process so much easier.

Emory wants me to pay 30,000 while Wellesley's only making me pay 10,000.

Yes, I'm from Houston Texas, so I wanted a school with a warmer climate, so I was leaning towards Emory. Emory and Wellesley seemed similar because of the small class size, opportunities, and awesome science departments. The main difference was the co-ed issue. But oh well, all that's been decided for me.

I'm happy with Wellesley, I'm pretty sure I'd regret NOT going there. I can always go to another university for grad school. Only got once chance to go to a shcool like wellesley, really!

I hate how the concept of the EFC is completely ignored at so many schools. GW wanted me to pay three times as much as I'd be paying to go to Wellesley. I actually got a letter from one college I got into basically saying, "Sorry, we ran out of money! Pay the $38,000 a year or go somewhere else!"

But I'm glad Wellesley worked out for us! :)

"I'm happy with Wellesley, I'm pretty sure I'd regret NOT going there. I can always go to another university for grad school. Only got once chance to go to a school like wellesley, really!"
Lucky for you Wellesley has no graduate programs. They did YEARS ago, but they got canned because it eventually became illegal to have single-sex grad schools. Except if you go to science grad school, you'll most likely be the only woman on your research team. It kinda negates the no guys in college issue, no doesn't it?

WendyMouse, I meant that I always have graduate school to go to a university like Emory.
So... cherrygarcia, if you're choosing between Wellesley and Emory, think hard about Wellesley because it's offering an experience you can't get as an undergraduate anywhere else. That's kind of how I looked at it.
