I’m no nervous omg, I wrote Wesleyan a 3 page essay with my application hopefully they like it
i have a feeling i’m not gonna get in because my grades aren’t amazing but what i lack in that i make up for in writing skills/extracurriculars which they didn’t leave much room for in my opinion (i wish they offered supplemental writing) and it sucks because it’s one of my dream schools and i’ll just be so bummed/disappointed in myself if i don’t get in
Really nervous. 88 GPA, 34 ACT, legacy through father, but I also applied for finaid. They had some crazy specific forms on my checklist though. PLEASE TAKE ME
@unimaybe hi, I don’t know if you saw my comment but even though they didn’t require a supplemental essay, I was able to write them a 3 page essay to show interest in the school. Don’t let the supplenient essay throw you off because if you get waitlisted, you will be able to write them one
Given that Wes is test-optional, do you think someone would still have a chance after submitting an ACT score that’s not that competitive compared to other applicants? My ACT score is a 32, and I feel like I would’ve been better off by not submitting it at all…
@jany01 I don’t have an answer for you, but I feel the same way, with an SAT score of 1450. Would it have been better if I just didn’t submit?
@jany01 @AwaitingApplicant131 i visited wesleyan in the fall and all the admissions interns/students i met said that if u have a very good score (which you guys have) then you should send it so i feel like ur good! good luck!
@erlnyc how did you submit the supplemental essay?? also if i do get waitlisted - should i just email them with my application ID and supplemental writing (and a resume or something) to move me up the waitlist?
Have you guys heard if they have good finaid packages? I applied because I heard that kt’s generally good but after hearing from my other colleges that I thought were good I’m not sure anymore

@unimaybe there’s no supplemental essay question I was about to write one because my history teacher went to Wesleyan so she told me how I can stand out to Wesleyan and what a typical interest essay should look like. So yeah she helped me write. Yeah I also submitted my resume, so you should submit that too. Wesleyan’s doesn’t have a question they just wanna know why your interested in their school. I hope that helps
@unimaybe sorry I forgot to answer but I submitted it in a google doc then made a pdf and then emailed it to the admissions office with my resume

@erlnyc it does thank you!! i just feel like now it’s too late - if i get waitlisted i’ll email admissions with all that stuff, but if i get rejected there’s really not much i can do
