I really need advice on these two schools! Which one is better? Nicer campus and city? Any advice and/or help is great. Any information I should know?

Thanks.

Connecticut has the nicer, though probably less historic, campus. It's further removed from the center of town than Wesleyan. The cities are about even in terms of overall niceness but, New London has a train station which M'town can only look upon with envy.

Thanks! Would you say transportation is better in Wes or Conn?

it's about the same. you have to cab it from the train station to either school.

Wesleyan is considered to be a better school.

Historically, Wesleyan was all-male and Connecticut College was all-female. Both schools went coed around 1970. However, Conn Coll still has a predominantly (~60%) female enrollment, and less emphasis on athletics than most New England liberal arts colleges -- for example, it doesn't have a football team.

Wesleyan is older and larger, and is somewhat better known and more selective. But both schools have strong academic reputations.

which one is harder to get if we need aid as well?
does wesleyan provide needbased aid for international students..?

Wesleyan has a measurably academically stronger, more liberal and more diverse student body.

Wesleyan is need-blind, I believe. This would imply that they are very generous with need-based aid.

puredream - fin/aid for internationals is fairly hard to get even at Wesleyan. :(
