Work hard, get the best grades and test scores you can, up your physical fitness game, pursue leadership opportunities, and secure a nomination; it is the same advice and process for all applicants.

Scour the USMA website for information and due dates for each part of the application process. You will also find a class profile on the website that will give you general stats on the latest class to see how you compare in general, but no one can “chance” you. Also scour the websites of your congressperson and senators to make sure you meet all requirements and deadlines for a congressional nomination as USMA does not consider applications without a nomination and 3Q status (qualified academically, medically, and physically). You will also need a DoDMERB physical, but that will be initiated after your application is officially open.

Also, there is a wealth of information on the official SA applicant forum serviceacademyforum.com. You should start your research there.

(Also, focus on quality/depth over quantity. Our son had one varsity sport and one very deep EC; he is a rising junior at USMA and a platoon sergeant at Beast this summer.)
