I attended WCC when I was younger and my last semester there was 4 years ago during the summer. I really bombed and ended up with a 0.72 GPA. Terrible, to say the least.
I have since re-birthed my college soul and am now maintaining a 3.82 GPA in another state. However, this old, dull GPA is really pulling down my new, shiny GPA.
I have done some research and found out about Academic Forgiveness/Renewal, but don’t quite understand.
Can I pick and choose which grades I want to expunge from my old transcript? I have some classes that I got As & B+s in that would be nice to keep, as they help with some pre-requisites here at my new college.
If I have to drop all of them, then so be it, I just want to stop being tormented by mistakes I made when I was younger.
Figure I’ll answer my own question since I finally got in contact with somebody.
The only program they offer with any similarity to this is called “Fresh Start”. Basically, I have to go back and attend this school, do well, and then apply for the “Fresh Start” program. In order to be accepted, I must be “doing well” in my classes. They didn’t clarify what grades would translate to “doing well”, but I could imagine a B or better. Getting a C isn’t really “doing well” to me, personally.
Anywho, I am going to have to ride out with the grades I have because I am not going back to that college. Even if I retook the same classes where I am now, and sent them back, only the credit would transfer, not the grade. So either way, do good in school, kids!
Helpful information. Thank you!
