WF Full Ride Chances?

Hi all.
I'm from the DFW area in Texas and am thinking of applying to a few programs/colleges.
I want my expected family contribution to be less than 20,000 since I'm pre-med and medical school is $$$.
I'd like to apply for a full ride here (Heard it was possible, haven't seen anything online about it)
Do you guys think it's feasible? Also, if you've gotten a full ride here, PLEASE comment :)

Hello,
We are proudly getting ready to take our daughter to WF in just a few weeks as a member of the freshman class.

Money was a huge concern to our family. We have now gone through this process with two daughters and we feel you should never give up on your dream school but cast a wide net and keep an open mind. A big mistake families make is limiting the number of schools their child applies to: 1. Because of the costs involved in the application process. (and) 2. Because let’s face it; it takes a great deal of effort to put your heart into each and every essay.
We have been amazed that the colleges we thought would provide the most money…just didn’t. They said yes, but offered almost nothing. She had other good private colleges who were willing to pay her to attend.

The theory is timing must meet abilities. Maybe the college really needed a great flutist and the slot went to them, congratulations, everyone has their day. We were very fortunate that Wake Forest was generous and it was her dream school and her abilities matched their student goals for that year. I also think for her, the interview was HUGE! She loved it and had a great time during the interview. We have taught our daughters that this is an information exchange and it should be an equal balance of you getting to know them and sharing what makes you tick. It’s great that they volunteer, but they needed to explain why they volunteer? You should have a passion that can be seen in your reasoning, not just that you check off volunteer hours. Your resume seems to have a clear volunteer vision so that is excellent.

Our daughter liked that Wake Forest looked at the entire individual. She graduated Summa Cum Laude, worked a job all school year, had leadership titles and volunteered so much that I felt I had to volunteer myself just to see her.

After visiting the school and having her interview, she made a decision to not to submit her scores. She felt her scores were good, but not a WOW. That being said she was accepted to other well known schools with scores; so maybe she was being very hard on herself. WF met our need and we received more than our initial numbers indicated in the Net Price Calculator. (The offer was very close to a full ride.) So we are very humbled by the generosity of Wake…at times we feel we should pinch ourselves.

I think based on your credentials Wake would be fortunate to have such a bright commitment young man. But cast a wide net and the right path will find you.
