<p>Here's the bottom line, WFU is my first choice and I absolutely loved it from the moment I got on campus. But as other school's financial aid offers are coming in, I am realizing that I will get not a lot of Need Based Aid. I have an option to go to the University of Tulsa for only $6,000 in tuition, but Wake Forest will still be at best 25k left in tuition after need based aid. I am getting some (emphasis on some) help from my parents but Wake will obviously be much more expensive and will put me in quite some debt. I understand that college is an investment, but is 19k a year (76k over 4 years) way too much of a difference? I'd appreciate comments from those who have chosen to go despite debt and how they feel about their decision now.</p>
<p>19k per year is excessive to pay for any college IMO. I would be proactive about this and get in touch with the financial aid office at Wake and let them know of your situation.</p>
