Any essay topic predictions?

bump 10char

I’m hoping it will be something that I am familiar with. gulp

Trans-Saharan trade routes. They asked about Indian Ocean trade in 08 and Silk Roads in 09. I hope they continue the pattern. :p

You never know SeekingUni. They could just be psyching us out with that pattern. (But I’m going to study Trans-Saharan just in case :)

My teacher mentioned rumors about “migrations” which ever that refers to…

^So did my teacher.

Now that you mention it, mine did too. We even wrote an essay on it in class for practice.

Sunwave, I was thinking that too, but you never know. Sometimes they like to give us a break. Might as well be prepared.

Here’s my prediction:
COT on the Trans-Saharan trade route
Comparison of great migrations (Columbian exchange, Japanese migrations, Italian migrations, Indentured Servitute migrations, etc.).
DBQ on anything random; doesn’t really matter since it requires little to no outside knowledge.

Does someone know what our framework on our essays should be for those topics mentioned above? Migrations and trans-saharan trade? Cause princeton review study guide doesn’t really go in depth on those subjects

I’m staying home from school tomorrow to study, so I’ll post a framework if I come up with something. :)

Thanks! ;D

So if they did ask a COT on Trans-Saharan trade, what would you guys write about? Ghana and Mali I guess? How Ghana converted to Islam?

My teacher thinks that it will cover the changing role of women over time since trade routes have been on the test the last few years. i just hope its over something i can write or bs about.

Since some of the past essays were about Silk Road, Indian Ocean, Islam on Europe, and Nationalism, is it safe to forget about these topics heavily if I’m focusing on the essays?

For trans-Saharan trade, I would focus on the trading of gold and salt and the introduction of Islam. I actually responded to this prompt last night on my AP official Practice Exam!

By AP Official Practice Exam, do you mean a past released exam? Or something? Because I don’t remember seeing a essay prompt on trans-Saharan trade. Do you have a link?

I can’t link to it directly, but just google “provided by the college board for ap exam preparation world history”, click around on some of the links, and you should find it. It’s the 2008 practice exam.

I’m not going to school tomorrow either, have a lot of stuff to read up on…

My teacher mentioned that a possible essay topic could be on social inequality.

Expecting a 1 or a 2 on this. Never did any studying for the class. We always come in without anything on our desks, and hear the teacher lecture. He tells wonderful stories, details changes and continuities, comparisons, where each civilization was at any point in time, people, movements, everything. I would’ve gotten a 5, had I actually remembered everything he taught. Sadly there were no quizzes or vocab tests that would actually make us memorize it. Fun comes with a price…

hmmmm…i dont think it’ll be on the sub saharan…because how do you know so much info about it
