Wharton art supplement???

Hi, I'm applying to The Wharton School in the University of Pennsylvania this year and a question of whether or not to submit an art supplement pops up.

I'm going into finance/business/actuary science, but still want to submit an art supplement to show that I'm more than academics.
However, on SlideRoom (art supplement part of CA), it says to submit art if that is your intended major. For example, digital media requires that you want to major in that field.

Should I submit an art supplement? Has anyone had any experience with this?

I applied to Wharton ED this year and submitted an art supplement. Penn doesn’t require you to major in an art field for you to submit a supplement. I was secure in submitting my portfolio (visual art) because I had taken it to National Portfolio Day and received really good comments. If you have a similar case or won any competitions for your art, I would totally go for it if I were you.

Yes, but the art I want to supply is in the digital media field. “Digital Media Design (Majors Only)” is what is literally says in SlideRoom. Fine Arts (so your artwork that won competitions) does not require that you need to be majoring in art, but I am not sure if Digital Media Design does.

I have won recognition and have been paid to do many videos for our school and community, so I really want to submit a few examples. I’m not going into digital media though.

Does anyone else have any advice on this?

How about giving a call to the admissions office on Monday?

Ok I think I’ll do that. Initially, I thought that asking this question was too obvious to answer, but I think I’ll go for it.

Penn’s admissions are pretty good at answering questions. I’ve called them a few times asking some, in retrospect, really stupid questions and they were really good about answering. Plus it’s anonymous; Penn will never know who asked the questions.

Unless they have caller ID ;-)
