I am thinking about applying to Wharton, and I'm wondering if sending in an art supplement would influence/boost my chances whatsoever when applying. Art is one of my strengths, and is one of my more important extracurriculars, as I am president of our school's National Art Honor Society, art editor for our school's newspaper, and I have won several county, state, and regional art awards. Any chance it would help highlight this strength?

From Penn’s page (emphasis mine):

17 year-olds often have a misguided view of what is exceptional. Ask your art teacher, because if the supplement is not extraordinary, it will deter from your application.

@skieurope Thanks! I’ll definitely take that into mind when I’m applying.

Submit an art supplement. Include a resume, and a reference from an art teacher with whom you have worked and who thinks highly of your work.

@fogcity Thanks – just wondering, what is your reasoning behind that?

I haven’t checked recently so my comments are based on Penn Art Supplement submission process 2 years ago. Unlike Stanford, Princeton and a handful of other top universities Penn did not spell out what to submit with a fine art supplement, leaving the process somewhat open. Look over the process that Stanford and (separately) Princeton require for a fine art supplement.
