Anyone know what they are? I'm sorry if this has been asked before! Thank you for your time!

probably deceptively high(legacies, development cases, athletes, etc.)

Idk, maybe 20%?

I'm a Junior, and when I applied ED I was told that the odds were 1 in 4, maybe 1 in 3. For RD, it was 1 in 9.

Figure, if you're applying now, it's a smaller pool (good for you), it's a significantly more competitive group of applicants (bad for you), and they still fill about half the Wharton class from it (good for you).

Are you not in need of financial aid (you risk getting none, or much less at best)? Are you positive that Wharton is your first choice? If yes on both counts, then applying early is definitely in your best interests. Not at all the same for the other three schools.

How competitive is Wharton compared to, let's say, HYP? Dartmouth? Brown?

i think it's up there.

country_crazy,

what do you mean by "not at all the same for the other three schools"?

Thanks

during RD it's equal to HYP, harder than Brown and Dartmouth

What about ED? I'm seriously considering Penn as a top choice, but definitely how competitive the admissions process is a factor for me and my decision.

CAS ED is the easy way into the Ivies. Wharton ED is on the same level
as Dartmouth and Brown in my opinion. I think you should apply to the LSM program. This really unqualified girl in my school got into the LSM program, I think it's the easiest way into Wharton.

It's OVER NINE THOUSAND

percent

krazykool,

I'm not really looking for an easy way into the Ivies, but thanks for the information. I just don't want to "waste" my ED opportunity; I would rather apply to a school where I would feel more confident in the admissions process and not take what I would perceive to be more of a "gamble". I like to feel secure.

I have more to say, but I don't feel like saying it.

I mean that when comparing ED/RD chances one to one, there is a significant advantage in applying to Wharton ED instead of RD if you are absolutely set on getting in.

For CAS/Engineering/Nursing, there is also an advantage, but it is not as pronounced.
