Wharton ED with low SATs..? Chance me

<p>Hey, I have low SAT scores.. and I do not have many AP's as my school offers only 2. Also, my school is really small with about 80 people in high school, does it matter? Please chance me.</p>

<p>SAT: 610 V (told ya), 780 M, 760 W total: 2150
SAT Subjects: Math II 780 Chemistry 730 Korean 800
AP: Math 4 Chemistry 3 Statistics N/A
GPA: 3.98/4.00
College course: Oklahoma U distance learning - Statistics A Logics A</p>

<p>Leadership:
Class official (Freshmen), Class Representative (Sophomore), Student Body Secretary (Junior), Student Body President (Senior), founded and became a president of the school Math Team, leader of Chapel Committee for two years, Media Producer, National Honors Society, Captain of Varsity Soccer team, and an active member of Korean Student Organization.</p>

Math Olympiad Coach for 4 years (my students won several awards)

Varsity Soccer 4 years (captain, mvp),(Won league championship, and placed 4th and 2nd in the State of Washington)

<p>This is about it.. and I have a separate recommendation of my soccer coach and special recommendation of school counselor saying Penn is my first choice and stuff. I think I did well on my essays and the recommendations must be good. I'm still discouraged because of my SAT scores.. what you guys think? chance me</p>

<p>You seem to have very good EC’s (soccer especially) as well as awards. It doesn’t really matter if you took a lot of AP’s as long as you took the hardest courses offered at your school. As for your SAT scores they are not low-they’re average for Wharton. My only concern is that there are many asians with equal or better stats than you. But you seem to stand out compared to some of them. So overall I think you have a fair chance! : ) good luck to you</p>

<p>Do colleges look at the total grade or each sections for SATs??</p>

<p>Both, they take the best scores of each individual section and add them up to get the super score. If you plan on majoring in something math related, you’re probably better off if you have a high math score. Same applies for reading/english.</p>
