I am a rising senior and have been accepted into two different summer programs. First, I want to establish that I am set on applying ED to Wharton (undecided if I want to apply to a duel major program--most likely not). With that in mind I have the potential to do one of two summer programs for the summer, and I would appreciate any advice as to which I should do.

1.) The first program is the Leadership in the Business World (LBW) program sponsored by Wharton. I would be at the San Francisco campus.

2.) The second is a selective local research program. (I think similar difficulty to get into as the LBW, maybe even a little more difficult)

It is important for me to note that I would be happy doing either. To that, it is nearly impossible for me to choose one over the other based on the typical "do what you want to do" response. I have done research for the last four years. I did a program last summer and competed this year at LISEF and NYSEF. I was a finalist at LISEF but did not make it to ISEF in either. To that extent, I enjoy research a lot, and this program has been EXTREMELY successful in producing projects that do very well at competition. It would not be unlikely for me to be a semi-finalist or finalist at the Siemens or Intel competitions. However, by this point, I have reached the unpopular mindset that I am simply trying to get into Wharton with whatever ways I can. So a HUGE factor for me in deciding which summer program to do is which will aid me more in getting into Wharton. Before everyone just assumes the Wharton program, they explicitly state that the program has no direct correlation to increased acceptance, and research seems to also be a big help in getting into these schools.

So overall, I simply want to know any overall advice. Again, I know I will love either experience, so I can't go completely wrong with either decision. At this point it is just which program will give me an edge. Thanks in advance to everyone!
