Wharton School or Wharton School of Business

So the question is the title of this thread. My dad keeps disagreeing with me.... Please tell me it's the Wharton School.

it is the Wharton School
my dad first learned the official name for the Ross School of Business (because I submitted my app really early for umich). however, when i applied to wharton, he wouldn’t stop calling it the school of business. i understand your pain and you are correct!

it is indeed just “the wharton school”

haha thanks for the confirmation guys

hey there ssssss

It’s incredible how many people use “Wharton School of Business”. I’ve seen it all over the place, including people from Penn themselves. I’m not entirely sure, but I think once I even saw a professor having it as “wharton school of business” in his resume.

who the $&#^ cares

from the Wharton Brand Standards:

Before the branding, I believe, the school used to be called Wharton School of Finance and Commerce. Wharton alums correct me, if I am wrong.

broetchen is correct (and that name is still on steiney d)

It’s the Wharton school. That’s the first anecdote they tell in admissions info sessions (that people often miswrite Wharton School of Bunnies, when it’s the Wharton School, anyway)

Except for Donald Trump, who misnames it the “Wharton School of Finance”

^ no fan of the Donald here, but that is what it was called when he attended.
