Wharton vs. CAS

okay… im aware most of the people would say… definetely Wharton

I love wharton and business… but i would also love to study PPE. Iv’e heard it’s easier to be admitted to CAS than to wharton…

overall… I LOVE PENN!

In order of importance I would love to study this:

 1. Huntsman Program, if not
 2. Wharton, if not
 3. CAS (PPE)

Im considering applying to the huntsman program next year ED… In the App, there’s a checkbox if one would like to still be considered to Wharton during ED, in case of being rejected from Huntsman. However, it’s basically impossible to be considered to CAS after being rejected from Wharton…

Do you recommend me as a strategy to apply directly to the college; study hard enough, and then either transfer to wharton or do a dual degree with it??

The College's acceptance rate this year was around 17% while Wharton's was around 12%, so yes, it is easier to get into the College than Wharton (not by much..both send more than 80% of applicants a rejection letter).

You can apply for Huntsman and then request to be put into the regular Wharton pool, but you can't request to be put in the College pool should you get into Wharton..
