Wharton vs. Georgetown

QuakerOats,
Here is just one of the many reviews on this book that you can find.

RUNNING OF THE BULLS
INSIDE THE CUTTHROAT RACE FROM WHARTON TO WALL STREET
Nicole Ridgway - Author

Forbes journalist Nicole Ridgway takes an up-close look at the stressful and ultra-competitive job- hunting process at the world-famous Wharton School as seniors vie for coveted positions at top investment banks and consulting firms, and attempt to become the next generation of Wall Street power brokers. The #1 ranked Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania is the only Ivy League undergraduate business program in the country, the alma mater of such moguls as Donald Trump, junk-bond king Michael Milken, and Revlon CEO Ron Perelman, and each year it graduates five hundred overachievers all striving to become the new barons of Wall Street. The Running of the Bulls is the first intimate look inside this unique institution, and Ridgway presents an unforgettable portrait of a culture in which a $120,000 education is an investment that needs to produce immediate results—and not landing a job at a prestigious bank like Goldman Sachs is the ultimate failure.

Scribbler,

You sound like a sweet individual. Thank you for your reply. It helps to know that everyone at Wharton is not an a-hole.

I plan on visiting again sometime this month.

Sounds like a fun (albeit more than a tad sensationalist) book.

Anyway Georgetown SFS is the only program that could compare to Wharton.

I did not apply to the SFS. I applied to the business school at Gtown. I am sure that I will find a job after graduating from either. I have many friends who attended Gtown who are all employed and happy. Unfortunately, I don’t know anyone from Wharton but its reputation says it all.

It was really the cut throat atmosphere that was giving me second thoughts about Wharton but after reading the replies from everyone, I am not getting that impression from the admits.
