wharton

what's the curve like..........deflated? inflated?

i've heard princeton deflates grade while harvard inflates

where does penn, wharton specifically fall?

I think Wharton just flates.

bump.....whats grading like at wharton

the "core" classes (intro acctounting, finance, marketing, management, opim) have a curve that is determined at the end of the semester based on the cumulative grades.. a lot of people freak out about the "curve", but its really not that bad!

basically the mean is curved to B, so most people get in the B range and if you do about a standard deviation above the mean you're in the A range.

often the curve can be good.. for example, in OPIM the mean for the final is around 55%, so if you get a 70% you're in the A range.

vballgrl - is it very difficult to keep a high gpa?

what do u think the average gpa of a wharton student is?

wharton classes are ********, on the whole. that means curves are tough to keep otherwise lame material competitive.

knicks10, the gpa is really only relevant when compared to other wharton graduates, so your question is kinda pointless
