Hello
CS major with a 3.17(most prolly above a 3.25 by this semester as Ive done a lot of work in my major classes in progress and two GE’s) its been an upward trend since my first year along with B’s in the previous major preps i took.Im applying to UCRiverside ,SC ( will have done everything for sc by spring and some recommended courses too) and also Davis but since one more Application is free(of charge) im thinking of applying to one more Uc. Should i apply to Irvine or SD? I know they are more competitve in CS than the ones I stated but Im not thinking of cal or LA since there a long shot compared to these. (I also applied to CsU’s like long beach and cpp to keep options wide. )
Would Appreciate the advice!
Using this link, the admit transfer GPA for UCI CS was 3.51-3.84 and for SD it was 3.68-3.92. I would select UCI.

@Gumbymom Thank you. Ill apply there for the heck of it.
Im probably going to end up selecting between Riverside or SC( since i have higher chances there gpa+major reqs).
@loyalfan49 I heard UCI has a very low cut off for CS major GPA. If you can bump yours to 3.4, you might even TAG there.
@BinaryOwl: TAG applications were due at the end of September so too late for the poster.
how come UCI CS has a very low cutoff for GPA? UCI’s CS major is not good enough?
If you check the link in post #1, the range for CS majors admitted at UCI, the UC Transfer GPA range was 3.51-3.84. Not sure why this would be considered low @BinaryOwl and @kkus2013. For TAG, you need a minimum 3.4.
Yes, as I know, UCI has the highest TAG GPA requirement. @Gumbymom
