What a college is most likely not looking for

Before i get started with this post let’s just clarify that we’re all here on this webpage for the same reason, we want to get into a GOOD college not the type our friends want to get into or that group of musicians that always play their guitar at lunch assuming everyone else enjoys the deafening sensation they consider music. Our affinity with college is … strange for the most part, not everyone understands it though it makes us … us. so now that we’re over that what are colleges most likely not looking for? well you just clicking on this discussion proves you show essential pragmatic thinking skills, as many may have shy away from confrontational posts that could reveal the most likely evident truth that some things must change in their lives before they start thinking about applying to Harvard or MIT.

SO there is the first box be realistic even id you are aiming for Harvard or another Ivy League school remember to create a list of safety schools because you really never know who could take your slot.

Number 2 is be friendly, amicable and genuine, administration at college is not easy and often people crack under the pressure though it is critical to remember to be yourself. Don’t come in wearing a suite and tie with your hair jelled back with what looks like some chemical adhesive though equally don’t come in with a shirt stained with food marks you yourself can’t even identify. You need to find the balance. DO NOT and i repeat DO NOT lie or overly embellish your case that is a biiiiiiig no no. Not only can it lead you into a hellish pit of extreme embarrassment If you pretend to be someone you are not and then get accepted into a college you didn’t really get accepted in… i mean think about it. and remember your interviewer can probably see right through it.

Number three Connections, a ise person who’s name i do not know once said this it’s not the things you knwo it the people you know, make connections do not be affraid to introduce yourself even at orientation days, you never know when having connections to the campus gardener may come in handy.

Number 4 don’t stress too much, i’m all about pressure but sometimes you just need to let it go… seriously some things aren’t worth extreme hair loss as a cause of anxiety… that hair make take months years to grow back and by that time all the 20 year old guys are 30 and looking for someone 25. Though there will be plenty more papers… don’t stress, seriously chill out man chill.

Anyways i hope this has helped in some ways  good luck!!
