<p>College</a> Essay Writing Tips - college application essay, admission</p>
<p>So I read this (never thought CB would come of some help) and want to verify that I have the right understanding of the common app essay.</p>
<p>I am NOT supposed to talk about what I've done (an EC), but rather use something I've done to reveal who I am. </p>

<p>Can someone please link some examples of good college essays? Is there a thread for this?</p>
<p>I just finished writing one of my essays (it’s also part of our summer work from school).
I wrote about how the death of Bella, one my good friends, in a traffic accident opened up my eyes, and how it encouraged me to seize the moment (then I gave examples of said moments like going skydiving) I also talked about how it made me want to be an ER doctor so I could “help the Bellas of the world”. I wrote how it made me a stronger person. Be genuine. That’s the most important part. Also if you have a really sad story like mine, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT, make it a sob story. Be specific. Be concise but still thorough. </p>
