What a tease!

D is still waiting to hear from Clemson, and this week in the mail she received a fancy brochure that talked about all the fun clubs and student activities she could join while a student, along with a little blurb about joining the Alumni Association. She hasn’t even been accepted yet!

We thought it was a cruel teaser if she’s getting a rejection letter in the next week or so! Anyone else get this flyer in the mail?

I got that too. I talked to my friend who also applied and she said she got it too. We were asking “why would they send us that if you are going to get rejected?” but who knows. Hoping for the best I love clemson! Good luck to your daughter.

Haha I know!! Thanks, good luck to you, too!

Here’s to hoping they sent those off of an admitted list a little early!!

Not to get anyone excited, but I remember UMIAMI did the same thing and we thought it was strange. About 10 days later my son was accepted. Don’t want get my hopes up. Probably just an oversight.

We got it too (waiting on decision) as did A friend whose daughter didn’t apply:( Definately a tease!

I know, right??!!! If they reject my daughter after sending that “look at all the cool things you can do here” then that is just mean. Why not wait three weeks to mail that out and only mail it out to students they’ve accepted? Save tons of money on marketing and mailing, as well as not engendering a lot of ill will if they’ve sent it to students they reject. Just sayin’ . . .

My oos son received the same thing today. Would love for it to be sign of acceptance. I know that is what he will think. Ugh!!! Good luck to you all. We should be hearing soon.

I think they tipped their hand and your on the accepted list! This stuff happens. Congrats.

So funny – my son got the same thing. At first I thought, it’s a good sign. But them I remembered they are the only school he has applied to that does NOT have an application portal or anything self-service – and I concluded they probably sent it to everyone

My child received the clubs/activities brochure Saturday, then received the Tigertown Bound acceptance today.

Yikes I have received nothing yet…Clemson is the last acceptance I am waiting on
Fingers crossed

My D received this on Saturday as well. I told her not to get her hopes up. Clemson is at the top of her list and she will be so sad if she doesn’t get in. Fingers crossed people…good luck to all

S got it too. Hard to look at when he hasn’t heard. Then the next day got request from Alumni Asso. wanting money. He had a friend (who really wasn’t interested) get his a few days before Christmas.

Yeah, this mailing was frustrating. How do you join clubs and associations unless you’re admitted? And why would you give to Alum Association unless you were a graduate?

Husband an alum but don’t want anything thing with paw or orange till THE letter gets here.

Got Clemson credit card application today. Saw paw on letter and stomach lept. Then…
Just stop it. Why in computer age they are making kids wait so long. He has great money offers elsewhere but that is where he really wants to go. His application was submitted Aug 1. as we were driving home from Univ Oklahoma

@gaggk17 I’m right there with you. My daughter submitted Aug 1 as well on our beach trip. As a parent, I’m ready for the waiting to be over!!! This process is way too long. I wish Clemson had online tracking like most colleges. Good luck!!

I think we all need to organize a club and call it “Clemson, What A Tease” club…because it sure the H E Double Hockey Sticks is!!!

Yep…a terrible, classless tease. My son received this brochure about 10 days ago then got denied today. Thinking about contacting the school about this because I think it is beyond disrespectful to send this out to those who applied only to get their hopes smashed just a week later. Cmon, they knew who had been accepted and who had been denied but they sent it out to everyone anyway. Clemson should know better. Very disappointed in their office of admissions as a whole.

@February17 I agree! Same thing happened to my son. Got brochure last week and then get denial letter today. Of course Clemson was his 1st choice. It’s just wrong what the admissions office did!
