WHAT AM I? And a couple of other questions

Hello, I am currently in my senior year of college for one degree, and will graduate next May. Next fall, I plan to attend another college for a second, unrelated degree. I just submitted an application for the second college as a transfer student but my boyfriend says this is wrong because I will have completed the first degree and that makes me a freshman again?

Did I do something wrong by sending in the application as a transfer?

This college makes no mention of ACT scores for transfer applicants, but I am proud of my 31 on the ACT and am wondering if it would be too braggy/rude to send in the score anyway. It doesn't say NOT to? heheh

My current school has options to send in "official" transcripts electronically for free or through the mail. I sent one electronically just now, but then I read that the second college defines official as sent in an unopened university envelope. Should i pay to mail one in also right now or wait to see if they have a problem with the digital one the school sent?

If anyone is interested, my current school is LSU where I am about to complete an art degree and the school I am hoping to attend next fall is Our Lady of the Lake for a nursing degree. I have a 3.46 right now but plan to graduate with a 3.5 at least, with this semester and next to go towards raising my gpa. Ideally I will have a 3.6 when I leave LSU.

Apparently you would be a transfer student. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1557537-financial-aid-scholarships-students-weekend-second-degree.html</a> You should contact the college and see what is necessary for applying as a student with an already completed degree. They probably won’t need your HS record or ACT. You may be able to get limited federal FA for a second degree. If that is an issue you should look into some kind of Master’s program

You are absolutely not a fr applicant. Fr applicants are people who took college credits during HS or have completed a year or less of post-HS college (how much varies with the college). You are a second degree candidate, and schools, if they accept second degree applicants, will likely have you apply as a transfer.

Since you’ve already completed a degree, your ACT is in the distant past, be proud of your score but save your money. It won’t impress schools, they’ll be looking at what you’ve done in college the past 4 years.

I would call/email the school and ask if the electronic version is OK, if not have LSU send a hard copy. With the new electronic capabilities sometimes websites lag behind policies, so it’s always good to check.
