Yeah, it is a lot, but by senior year, taking AP's will be useless for college applications. My parents probably won't like it, but if I did well on this year's tests, I don't think they'll make that much of a fuss on it. The thing is, after I self-studied 3 AP's this year, my friends decided to start self-studying AP's too, so they're doing Psychology and Macro/Micro Economics. I was originally only going to self-study AP French Language, AP Euro, and AP US/Comp Gov (if I'm going to take one AP Gov, I'm doing the other the same year,) but with my friends taking those AP's, I think I'm going to self-study the ones they're doing too so we can study together. Wow... Junior year is going to suck...

Yeah, AP English Language is an 11th grade course at our school, and AP English Literature is 12th grade too. The curriculum is just built like that, don't know why, though AP English Language is supposed to be harder, since it's a lot of writing. Whatever, writing and history are my forte(s?).

Agreed with the AP Lit being harder than AP Lang. In our school, all the 7/8/9-essay students from AP Lang in grade 11 still end up getting 4/5/6s during the first weeks in Lit. The writing load also increases (our AP Lang class has one major term project, whereas Lit has a couple).

Next year as a junior i am taking
Calc 3= Calc BC?

Wow there is someone else sane here!!!!!

Defeating the program's goal? Um, no.

I only had one AP exam this year that I felt confident enough about that I DIDN'T have to study extensively outside of class for (and I only took exams that I had classes for). Relying on school for your education is not smart. Just because school exists, just because it offers AP courses, does not mean that it is the better option.

as a sophomore:
AP calc ab
AP statistics
AP Chem
