OSU is a real reach for you. The SAT needs to be raised significantly because of the GPA. I am not sure how much your work will come into play. There are a lot of kids who do other activities 2 hours every day (athletes, band, clubs etc) that keep their grades higher.

Sorry, but it is unlikely. Assuming you are accepted to OSU which looks for a GPA north of 3.0, the nursing program is even more stringent. First you start in pre-nursing and apply to nursing in your sophomore year. Last year 409 students applied and 127 were accepted. The average GPA of those accepted was 3.7. The average GPA of those not accepted was 3.08. It is an extremely competitive program.
Yeah, I’m sorry but I can’t see any possibility.

Last year’s freshman class’ 25th percentile was 1170/27 with a class rank of around the top 20% (89% were top quarter).

Not to pile on, but you really don’t have a chance–maybe not even at OU.

You should tell your mother to stop making you work so much so that you can focus on your grades and test scores.

You have a chance. The fact that you are a minority will help you a lot. I do not know what grade you are in, but you need to get that GPA up for Ohio State. I would push for at least 3.0 and above. As for test scores, I would shoot for at least a 26-27 on the ACT or SAT equivalence. You may not get into the main campus, but you may be able to get into a branch campus and hopefully transfer someday

Check out the program at Columbus State for your freshman year, from which you can transfer to Ohio State if you keep your grades up. Your credits transfer and it’s less expensive.

Were you accepted dvl?
