I have a few days on my schedule where I attend 3 lectures per day and I was just wondering if this is suicide ... or something.

Is it strenuous at all?

Is it strenuous at all?

No.. you should be fine...

No... that's like a 3 hour nap! :) You usually don't do much in a lecture anyways except for listening and taking notes. It'd be easier than the 5 or so periods (hours) that you go through daily in high school. No?

I've had three lectures in a day... The biggest problem is that my laptop battery needs to be charged at somepoint, or else it won't make it through the day.

What classes can your laptop be used in? I heard that in math/science classes, laptops are pretty much useless when it comes to notes.

I think laptops are just an added distraction...you'd probably be surfing the web or something.

Pen and paper is fine by me. The old-fashioned way!

Three lectures a day is no big deal if they're all North Campus one-hour lectures.
However, some South Campus lectures can be three hours long...

Well I'm a History major, so laptop makes more sense for me. As far as surfing the web, I typically did not do that, nor can you get internet in a lot of rooms. I did however spend much time online during my History 179 class. The professor often confused herself during the lecture, so most of the learning was done via reading.

oh, i thought quizzes were assigned during lectures?

depends on the professor. some may do it in lecture, others will do it in discussion.

You ZZzzzzzz in lectures. I kid you not.

Depends on the professor/subject matter.

For some classes, lectures are absolutely useless and might be passable with minimal attendance/attention. For others, lectures are a big part of the class.

Also, some professors are fun to watch and make lectures much more tolerable.
