What are my chance for getting into BU?

I’m a junior in high school right now and Boston University is my dream school all the way, I love the programs the school offers, the city, just everything. I’m interested in pursuing a major in computer science, the arts, or business (I’m not quite sure yet haha). Although, I’m not sure if I have very good chance for getting Indio the school, my GPA is a 93.7; which is about 1 point lower than the average GPA of a student from my high school that’s been accepted (about a 94). On the 4.0 scale I would say I have about a 3.7. My weighted GPA is a 4.0. My SAT score is a 1270, but I’m taking it again and im planning to get my score to about a 1370. I’m in 2 AP classes right now and 2 honors classes and next year I’ll be taking 6 APs and 1 honors class. I’m very involved with several clubs (community service club, Best Buddies, and Cancer Awareness Club) and in the arts at my school. I love drawing and painting, I’ll be taking AP art next year, and I’ve been entered in several art completions, art shows, and won a few awards over the years. I’m also in Math Research (basically it’s an extra math elective), through that class I’ve won a bronze medal at my counties math fair. I know it’s hard to tell exactly what schools look for in student, but can anyone with knowledge about BU or any current/past students tell me if I have a chance? Thank you:)

I would say good chances at BU since your GPA is right at their mean. The test scores should be higher to make BU a match. Aim for 1400+ on the new SAT or 32 on ACT.

BU has become really competitive in the last few years and it’s going to be tough. I read somewhere that this year the acceptance rate was the lowest ever.

My son visited the campus and loved it and BU was at the top of his list, but he was accepted by WashU ED. Some people might be put off by the fact that Commonwealth Avenue runs across the campus, but BU is close to most of the major sites in Boston and transportation isn’t an issue.

Good luck and you can’t go wrong with Boston as a city as well as the educational opportunities available.
