What are my chances, and are there any other schools you could recommend?

I am 15 years old, and while this may be a bit early to start narrowing down my schools, the college I end up in is extremely important. I would like to go to school for business, a subset of which I have yet to determine, and have a few schools that I have been keeping in mind. My dream schools are the University of Pennsylvania and Cornell, while I have also been looking at the business programs at the University of Virginia and Penn State. I would appreciate if people would tell me my chances and or suggest other schools for me to pursue. As of right now my GPA is a 4.0 not weighted, my class rank is 1/337, and I am taking the most difficult courses offered at my public high school. As a future sophomore I am only in one AP class but plan to take all available the following year.. As far as extra curriculars go I swim 11 and a half months a year, leaving little time for another sport. I am decent though, won Rookie of the Year. My only other clubs as of right now are Student Council and Math Team. Please forgive me for asking questions that I am sure have been asked before due to the fact that schools like that are usually toss ups. Thank you

UPenn and Cornell are very difficult to get into, they decline countless stellar students such as yourself. You are on the right track, though. The truth is it is pretty “impossible” to chance these schools for anyone. But if you have something unique about yourself and you do well on your tests (ACT,SAT etc.) that will all help in the end. For now just focus on enjoying high school and deeply try to understand material in your AP classes. If for whatever reason you aren’t able to use that credit for a class in college you will still have a much easier time with it.

If you keep up the GPA and hard work, you’ll be on track. Aside from continuing getting high grades, the best thing you can do right now is find something that you enjoy doing and excel in it. Maybe get some kind of special accomplishment, be it a state-winning debater or 3000 volunteer hours. Your plan looks good for now, but know that Cornell and UPenn doesn’t exactly have much reason to declining many people.

To figure out more schools, figure out what’s important to you. Is it financial aid? The reputation of their B-Schools? Overall prestige? Location? Plug those into the College Confidential SuperMatch tool and you’ll have some good recommendations
