Hi I am a sophmore in hischool. My frreshmen GPA was really bad it was a 4.05 and my sophmore year is going terrible. I took 2 APs all honors and no electives, its really difficult my straight A streak ended since sophmore year started. I am the secretary of the math team. I play tennis and I am in the science team as well as symphony orchestra. I work in Kumon to tutor young children math. I am currently writing a book and I have won an essay competions 3 years in a row. I also am planning on starting a programming in C club or team next year. The thing is would MIT consider my grades its really bad I am hoping to improve a lot my junior and senior year. But the sophmore slump is a real thing and I have learned from sophmore year not to overload in too many classes and I am about half way done this year. So I was wondering if I should still consider applying to MIT with these grades and hoping to improve the next two years of highshool
A 4.05 is bad? Is it out of 4? That seems like a great gpa if so, I know at most schools your gpa can only be so high freshman year because of limited courses.
