Also, I'm an Asian-American male, if that helps (or should I say if that hurts, haha). What are my chances of getting into Columbia Engineering for Computer Science?

Why would you want to transfer to Columbia? JHU is a great school and I doubt that JHU education is significantly inferior to that of Columbia…

Anyway…
high school records don’t matter much as it would if you were a Freshmen Applicant(still not something to overlook),and your college grades matter much more. If you pull out good essays, there may be a chance, but there are two disadvantages

Transfer admission will be much harder than freshmen year admission.

Being an Asian-American HURTS you.

Your JHU GPA and high school records are on the track, but it will be hard.

@paul2752 Yes, I’m aware that JHU vs Columbia doesn’t have much of a difference. It’s more of the city of Baltimore that I’m not a huge fan of and Columbia is just a lot closer to home–only a one-hour train ride away.

Thanks for the answer, it was really helpful :)

Columbia College is actually quite difficult to transfer into, but the Engineering School does take a lot of trasnfers. They have a lot of combined programs.
