What are my chances at Georgetown University?

I’m a junior in high school, and my first choice is Georgetown’s SFS. I had a rough freshman and sophomore year, but I’m a full IB Diploma Candidate and my grades are considerably better than they were. My GPA 9th and 10th grade was mid 2.6. (I know- puke.) However, after first quarter with better grades and weighted IB Classes, it shot up to a 2.9. My projected GPA for the end of the year is at least a 3.49. (Please note that IB classes are weighted much more than honors; my entire courseload is IB Classes.) I scored a 1360 on my SAT the first time around, and still have at least 4 more times to take it. I also have a huge amount of volunteer hours, job experience, internship experience, and extra curriculars. My languages are Arabic and Mandarin Chinese, and I’m in the middle of a huge project involving the refugee crisis and its impact on my community. I will have excellent recommendations, and my interview will be fine because I’m great with first impressions. I also was accepted into their summer program for International Relations. However, my GPA is very concerning. Is it worth applying with it being so low? Any answer is helpful! Thanks:)

I think if you want to apply, do it. However, it is very unlikely that you will get in. Your gpa is very low for them and your sat is kind of low, too. If you can get your gpa up to what’s projected and drastically raise your sat, you’ll greatly increase your chances. Maybe try takin the act, too, and see if you do better.
