what are my chances at Penn?

<p>Hi, im a senior applying ED to Penn either at CAS or SEAS. What do you all think my chances are?</p>

<p>SAT , Math 780 (1 wrong stupid curve lol), CR- 650, Writing 620, (essay 10), 2050 overall
(only took once retaking them on oct. 6)</p>

<p>ACT (comes out october 2)</p>

<p>I know that you’re retaking them, and ACT comes out soon (I’ve got my fingers crossed too!) but your SAT writing/verbal scores are a little lacking for Penn. Try to get one or more into the 700 range and you should be good to go.
However, you have an amazing amount of awards, and the affirmative action thing is well in your favor. Maybe weaker verbal/writing scores shouldn’t matter, but all in all, I would say that you’re a strong candidate for Penn (my brother goes there, so yes, I do know a little bit about what I’m talking about :D)</p>

<p>thanks, ye i am working to raise those scores, in practices i was getting mid 1500’s but i guess that doesn’t count for much</p>

<p>If you put that you’re Black, I’m sure you would have a GREAT chance getting in. Try ED and it gets even better! =]</p>

<p>Re-take SAT’s for higher CR and Writing. Everything above 650-670 ATLEAST for CR and Writing.</p>

<p>Your SAT scores are pretty lacking, and your ECs don’t show any focus (I can’t tell in which subject you are passionate about)… Unlikely to get into Penn ED</p>

<p>I would definitely say you’re accepted. I go to school around there, and all these kids from my school whose stats are no where near as impressive as yours get in every year.</p>
