Hi all,
Thank you for your input. I'll cut to the chase, here are my stats:

GPA: 3.89

SAT I: 2060

AP/Honors Classes: 10

Extra Currics:
President of the Interact Club (community service organization)
President of the Green Club
Captain and lead attorney for the Mock Trial Team (a national judicial competition)
Lead roles in various musicals/plays, including Sandy in "Grease" and Cinderella in "Cinderella"
Lead soprano in Choir & Glee Club
(Member of all of the above for 4 years)

I know my grades aren't excellent, probably the reason I was wait listed at UCSD, a school that looks more at numbers. Berkeley asked me to submit an additional supplement and recommendation letter, which I took to be a good sign, but I suppose we'll see. Just for peace of mind, I wonder if my SAT score might compensate a bit for my grades? What do you think?

It depends on which school you applied to for NYU. Stern Business School is extremely hard to get into. But other than that, you have a good chance As for BU I don’t think you would have any problem getting in. UCB though is hard to say. Your SAT is probably average amongst the accepted students.

Your stats are ok, maybe a little bit below average for UCB and average for NYU. Your ECs are a little weak (no volunteering, no sports, no big commitment things) SAT isn’t great among those that apply to your three schools. NYU i’d say is a match, UCB is a mid reach and im not sure about BU, but it’s probably least selective of the three.

(Though I would like to mention that captaining the Mock Trial team and maintaining two presidencies, one of which was for a community service-oriented club indicate both “big commitment” and volunteering by nature I didn’t want to bore anybody with the list.)

I think you have excellent chances at BU and good chances at NYU (again depending on what school you applied to). UCB will be tougher. Best of luck!
