What are my chances at UCSB, UCLA, UCSD, UCD

Alright so I'll start off with grades.

I've done 5 years of science in the 4 years of high school: Biology, Chemistry, IB Chemistry, IB Physics 1, and IB Physics 2 (physics is HL, Chem is SL) and I'm a full IB diploma student, and got a 5 on the IB Chemistry exam. Here's the schedule for all four years :

Freshman-
Biology
Health/Tech
Spanish 1
English 1H
Geometry
PE

Sophomore:
Chemistry
AP European History
Architectural Design
Spanish 2
English 2H
Algebra 2

Junior-
IB Hist. Of the Americas 1 HL
IB English 3 HL
IB Spanish 3 SL
Pre Calculus/IB Mathematics SL
IB Chemistry SL
IB Physics 1 HL

Senior:
IB Spanish 4 SL
IB English 4 HL
IB Hist. Of the Americas 2 HL
IB Theory of Knowledge
AP Calculus/IB Mathematics SL
IB Physics 2 HL

My average GPA is around 4.1 weighted, unweighted I'm not really sure.

My SAT right now is about 1800, and I'm taking it one more time to try and raise it more, and I'm taking the Chemistry and Math II subject tests, my planned major is biochemistry (I love that stuff)

For EC's:
I'm just about to get my Eagle Scout, I've been in scouts for years, I also volunteer at a teen health clinic and help teens with whatever they need, and go into high schools to tell kids what it's all about. I love love love karate, and my goal is to get black belt before graduation, I've been doing that since 8th grade, I did soccer for 2 years of high school, and I'm the Vice President of science club and plan many events. And I also started a non profit for my high school that's handed down each year to help the homeless people in my community.

Work experience: I work at a pizza place 20 hours a week to save money for college. I've also worked my mom for her accounting business.

It's extremely hard to balance all of this, but I've managed well. My extended essay was on a biochemistry subject, and I'm also doing my CAS project for IB, so I have plenty of community service hours. And I am going to try to write a killer personal statement for the UC's, UCSD is my top choice. Thank you for any feedback, and tell me what my chances are!

Oh and I couldn’t take any more AP’s, as my school didnt offer more. This is the MOST rigorous schedule my high school has ever seen.

In-state or out-of-state?

We need to know if you are in state or out of state. But as a preliminary chance, I’d say UCSB - Match, UCLA - Reach, UCSD - High Match, UCD - Match. I suggest raising your SAT to at least 2000 and writing some killer essays.

Oh sorry I forgot, I’m in state, lived here for my entire life. And I’m looking for my chance specifically to UCSD, I really really want into that school.

Currently UCSD is a high Match/Match.

Ok, do you have any tips on what I should to get as close as possible to securing a position there?

UCLA: Reach
UCSD: High match
UCD: Match
UCSB: Match

Will somebody please give me more feedback!

I need more responses!

Like a few have said, the sat scores are the only thing holding you back

I will keep doing this!!!

So how high should I aim for SAT scores?

Bump  I need more!!!

You’ve gotten quite a few responses…

UC admissions are pretty cut and dried. I think the average GPA’s/SAT’s are available online, though I don’t have a link. Like everyone else has been saying, raising your score to a 2000 would make UCLA a reach, but not impossible, UCSD likely, and Davis/SB almost certain. Shift that down one with your current scores (UCLA semi-hopeless, UCSD a high match/low reach, UCSB/Davis likely.

Bump bump bump
