What are my chances at UNC Chapel Hill?

I am applying early action for Chapel Hill this year. I’m a junior. I’m a little worried about my ACT scores but I’m studying for it right now so hopefully those scores will increase. Do you think Chapel Hill will reject me because of my ACT score? I’m in-state by the way.

Other than your ACT score, you have great stats. Considering that you’re applying early action and you’re in-state, I think you have a great chance. It’ll be even better if you can get your ACT score up.

Yeah, I would try to get your ACT score up. I got in this year in state with a 29 and I didn’t even really feel confident with that. Also, be sure to detail what you actually did in your leadership positions on your application.

My son, in state, 29 ACT and 1300 SAT accepted early action. Admissions rep said they look for well rounded students, hold a job, athlete or leadership roles plus volunteer
