What are the best schools that I would have a 50:50 shot at?

For WashU, hate to say it, but they are BRUTAL this year. my school tends to have a minimum of 6 people and this year, they accepted ZERO ED (including me). My GPA is on a 4.0 scale and i had a 3.6 and a 34 ACT and was flat out rejected. My friend with a 4.0 and a 35 was deferred. depends on the college within WashU, but in a brutally honest standpoint, they are BEYOND brutall this year.

@ichiro, You have pretty good stats, so I think you have a chance! But just like @hrcc512 mentioned, you never really know with really selective schools like WashU. Good luck!

Chances are best for full pay students.

Coming from a Catholic hs may give you a little edge, as Wash U attracts a lot of Jewish students. They may be looking for more Catholics!

My son submitted his app two days ago. It was his last app. He is concerned as well.

My son got into WashU last year. His stats are as below. Hope it would help the students who are interested in getting into WashU for their undergrad.
GPA 4.5, ACT superscore 35, 9 AP courses with scores some of them 5, some 4 and one 3.
EC - Drum Major, president of Science Olympiad, exec board member of Tri-M Music Honor Society.
Volunteering at hospital, food pantry, children’s museum.
Peer tutoring at his school. Judged in a district science fair.
Mini-Med school experience.
Research intern at School of Medicine, Northwestern U.

WashU is a fabulous institution. We, being parents, are very happy.
Wish you all the very best.

You have an alright chance. Are you looking at any other colleges? A few more extra curriculars would help. UMich?
