What are my Chances? (Boston College, Villanova, USC, University of Richmond)

Grade: Junior
GPA: 3.87 w/ idk my uw
Classes: Freshmen year I went to a private school and took a mix of CPE and Honors classes and had a 3.99 GPAw. I Took 1 AP and 3 Honors classes sophomore year at a much harder public school and my weighted GPA dropped to a 3.87. I am taking 3 AP this year and 2 more Honors classes this year. After the first quarter I have gotten As in every class but Bs in my AP classes. My school only lists final grades though, not quarter grades.
PSAT: Last year I got a 1270/1540. This year I am awaiting my scores.
ACT: I got a 29 in September on my first ACT and am very confident I can raise it to at least a 31/32 because I got a 32 on English and Reading but tanked on the math and science.
EC: Ive been playing baseball all my life and I will be a two year varsity player. I played 1 year of basketball and 1 year of soccer. I am in the DECA club. I have over 200 hours of Community Service helping disabled children at a place called Camp Sunshine.

My unweighted GPA is pretty low, and that is why I am scared of getting into some of these better colleges. My weighted GPA should be a 4.05 if I get As in all my classes but B+s in my Weighted classes though. Can someone give me some chances on these colleges and any colleges in the Massachusetts area or California area?

Richmond and USC are reaches. If your community service is not something you are extremely passionate about and you are not being recruited as an athlete, you will likely have a lot of trouble with EC’s. Try to become very involved in something so that you have a story to tell when writing essays (i.e. “I am very interested in X and spent most of my time doing that”) so that your EC’s don’t come off as totally average.

32 on the ACT would put you in the ballpark for these schools. Your unweighted GPA is not as bad as you think, weighted could be better though. That could be overcome by a combination of doing well this year and improving the ACT.

BC and Nova are probably closest to low reaches but not unrealistic.
