Hi.
I am an international student applying in colleges in the U.S for fall semester 2017.
I took Cambridge International Alevels in high school and have the following scores in my Advanced Level :
- Physics - B (78%)
- Mathematics - B
- General paper(AS) - a
As you can see I have only 2Alevel and 1AS. Ideally, colleges require 3 full Alevels.
I have my Computer Science(Full Alevel) exams still left which, upon completion, will make me eligible.
Now the problem is, my exams are in May/June of 2017 and results for that will be in mid August of 2017.(Too late)
Unfortunately, the application deadlines for most universities that I’m applying to is in Jan/Feb/March of 2017.
So, I won’t have my Computer grades and have to apply with only 2.5 Subject credit.
I emailed a couple of colleges and they said I can still apply with existing subjects.
However, I feel that my chances for getting admission is very thin even if I do well in SAT and have strong SOPs.
There is one alternative though.
Instead of registering for May/June 2017, I can appear for the exams in October/November of 2016. (3 weeks from now)
But I’m sure it’ll be a wreck. At most, I’ll get a D or an E grade.
What should I do?
Am I doomed?
