Summer Activities: Working with politicians on campaigns etc

Essays:
Personal Statement: Very very interesting way I wrote it, I don't want to go into specifics about the structure but it was very different. About my “life story” per say and how I realized exactly what I wanted to do. I was told by multiple professionals and peers that it was one of the best they’ve ever read.

Why my major (Law or possibly Economics) :I want to go into politics or finance, still deciding. My application is focusing on my "politics" side.

Teacher Recommendation: One I was allowed to read, and if everything works out, and she sends the one I read, it is literally amazing. The other one will hopefully be good.

Counselor Rec: I go to a large public, so it will probably be pretty generic as I've only spoken to him a few times

Additional Rec: From one of the politicians I worked for (ran for state assembly), going to be very very good as I'm "helping" him write it.

Interview: Not yet

State (if domestic applicant): NY

bump

Reach for all of them. Impressive resume though.

I’ll edit this post after I find out my SAT score… and again if I get into my ED (Columbia)

I understand what “reach” means, but, necessarily for all but a few people, Columbia, my ED school, is is a reach for every one (6.9% admissions rate) so how much of a reach is it for me? (in your and other’s opinions)

Although your gpa is somewhat sub-par to ivys, I think you’ll at least get into one of them because of your political work. Probably Dartmouth, but I’m not sure you’d like it there (you seem like a big city person and Hanover has like 10,000 people in it). Good luck!

I want to add that I wen’t from an 83 average freshman year to 93 sophomore and 98 junior year, significant improvement in all subjects and I got almost a perfect score in honors physics my junior year, a 99.
