BU, NYU, Northeastern

with a 3.25 gpa 5 ap courses all high school on the basketball team, mun, mu alpha theta, tennis, soccer extracurricurals. Thanks, btw im an international student from colombia, my sats are projected to be high also

Are you serious? A 3.25 GPA isn’t going to get you anywhere but your local junior college! But that’s a good thing… Think of all the money it’ll save you when you have to take your basic classes no matter what major you choose.

what are you taking about a 3.25 gpa is 85/100 which is like B i could easily enter bu and northeastern nyu is what worries me

You’re right about BU–a little more 40 percent of their students have a gpa between 3.5-3.0. NYU doesn’t look so good, according to college board–16$ of kids have GPA between 3.25-3.49; 10 percent had GPA between 3.0-3.24. So that puts you at about the bottom quarter of their ranking.

3.25 UW isn’t that bad at all. It’s not CC “good”, but it’s not bad. That second poster is out of his/her mind. You definitely have a shot at BU and NEU. NYU should definitely worry you. NYU is very, very tough - even tougher for someone with a low GPA.

i have a quesiton about transfers, i really dont know much about this subject, my quesiton is if i go for example to bu or neu and get really great grades can i transfer to an ivy league or a top 30 college?

You can get into BU CGS.
