I plan on majoring in Computer Science. I have a 3.0 GPA and a 20 on the ACT. I’ve taken 4 APs (Psychology, Art History, CompSci, and Government). I’m a Chief for my school newspaper. Cofounder and President of a Religious Club. Involved in Programming club. Made a website/app for my school to use. I participated in multiple hackathons. I started my own business in 10th grade. I have a learning disability (ADHD). I currently have an internship for a tech startup business. I have over 200 hours of volunteer work. I plan to retake the ACT later on, and hopefully score in the 22 to 26 range. Thank you.

I don’t know about most of them so I’m not sure which are good for CS, but maybe someone else on here does. But from this list you can narrow them down based on location and then look into them further. It may seem like a daunting task, but choosing the right colleges to apply to is a task worth spending a lot of time on.
A lot of the colleges already on your list are actually on this list as well: Ohio State (Mansfield, Marion, and Newark), Indiana University East (not sure if that’s the same as the Indiana University you listed), DePaul, Arizona State, Hofstra, University of Arizona, and Johnson & Wales.
Are you a CA resident? Have you calculated your UC GPA (you can find information about it on any UC website, or perhaps some kind person on this thread can furnish a link)? If you are from out-of-state, you need a UC GPA of at least 3.4 to be eligible for admission to ANY UC campus. If you don’t have it, then you would be wasting $140 applying to UC Merced or UCR. I think Drexel is probably a reach for you. Penn State is, also. Others depend on your state of residence. J & W should be pretty safe. Can your family afford an expensive private college? If so, you might look into Pace University, in NY, or Fairleigh Dickinson in NJ. I would also look at some less-selective publics like W. VA, Wyoming, or Montana. They probably all have decent Computer Science programs, and they have very high acceptance rates. If you want a smaller, more holistic school, look into Evergreen State College. They have near-open admissions, and a flexible curriculum.
Why do you want to go to the University of Toronto? Did you check the cost?
Your GPA is really low, what grade will you be in? Try taking both the SAT and ACT because a 20 on ACT is pretty bad. Maybe you will do better on the SAT. You might have a shot with Arizona.
Sorry to say this but EC’s won’t patch up bad test scores and GPA.
@LeviAckermen University of Toronto is a highly regarded University. In Canada, most universities check just 11th and 12th grade. I did stellar for 11th grade. I now have 12th grade, which I know I will do good. 9th & 10th I didn’t do that well. The University of Toronto has a great CompSci program and they only care about GPA and Test Scores. So if I can get up to a 26 on the ACT, I’ll have a shot at the school.
@Fritzy2019 it’s not enough to say “most colleges in canada check just both junior and senior year”. does THAT EXACT SCHOOL do it? And if so, if you were to remove your freshman and sophomore year grades, what is your junior year GPA? And also, don’t settle for just “a shot”, try to bring your test score up (maybe around 30 or so?) so your chances of being accepted are higher.
Well best of luck in getting that 26 then. I’m not very familiar with Canada’s admission process, but if it’s like other countries outside of the US, then the ACT/SAT will be quite important.
