Hi, I'm starting my senior year next month and I wanted to get an idea of my chances before the application process. Excuse me if I elaborate too much but I'm just anxious and there's really no one I can ask to. My grades in 9 and 10 were not exactly excellent (92%-93%) but in junior year I got a 92% in the first quarter and 97.5% in the rest. In junior year I also started all my classes IB (IB HL Math(horrible, horrible) IB HL Spanish, IB HL English, IB HL History, IB SL Psychology and IB SL Biology). I got a 5/7 in both SL Psych and Bio, I expected more, and in the SAT: 720 crit reading, 570 math and 620 writing. My Toefl was better, in the internet based one I got 108/120 (lowest was speaking, 22). Extracurriculary I am a member since 10th of Honorary Hispanic Society, Knowledge Bowl since 9th (captain next year), HACIA Democracy (won best delegate, hope to repeat), Casitas Kennedy(welfare group) and in these vacations I started helping at the local hospital, in the Cancer Ward. I'm planning on retaking SAT and taking SAT II, but what do you guys think of my chances? Should I definitely cross out Hopkins and the top schools?
