Hey CC, I recently found this site and have found it to be extremely helpful. Hopefully you all can give me a good prediction on my chances of getting into MSU(#1 choice) and ISU. I'm a junior in high school. I live in Illinois (if that matters).

GPA: UW/2.96 W/3.2
I know my grades aren't great, but I am finishing up this current semester with a 4.0 (I included this in the averages).

ACT: Composite/29, Reading/33, Math/28, English/28, Science/25,
I'm taking another ACT on June 8th because I need to take an ACT writing, and am very confident I can bump up my composite 1-3 points.

Honors/AP: I've taken Honors English II, Honors Accounting II, and will be taking AP Macro next year.

Extracurricular: Wrestling/2 yrs Cross Country/1 yr. Volunteering is weak with only 30 hours. I have been holding a job since my 16th birthday(now 17). I will be a founding member and will hold a position of some sort for our school's photography club, starting next year.

Extra Notes:
-I slacked off for a long time just cruising without paying attention in class. I would be getting B's and C's with occasional A's. This past semester I really starting trying in school and will earn a 4.0 (my lowest class is physics with a 96%). Will colleges see that I take academics seriously now and view the late grades as what I am capable of, or will I get written off for the poor grades?
-I only have 1 credit of foreign language. ISU takes fine arts credits as a replacement for FL(I'm on track for 2 FA credits). MSU doesn't, but on their website they say this regarding courses: "If you are lacking in one of these areas, it does not mean your application will not be considered. However, a less rigorous curriculum could put you at a disadvantage."
-I am willing to apply Early Action/Descion to MSU if it increases my chances of getting accepted.

Thank you all for the help, and if you have have any suggestions to strengthen my credentials it would be appreciated.
