I know it's a reach, but just how slim of a chance is it?

Your application looks solid, except for the lowish GPA, lack of math honors, and average Chem AP score. It’s really hard to say, but I’d give you an average shot for an OOS student.

thanks, I’m considering majoring in accounting. Does the prospective major influence the decision?

Not to my knowledge. You apply for the program in the business school at the end of your academic sophomore year, as an FYI. Good luck!

Enjoy Rutgers

It is a reach, but not impossible. You have very good extracurriculars, and W&M loves that. The only thing holding you down is your GPA, but the other stuff balances it out. You should have a shot.

At schools like W&M that practice holistic review it never hurts you to apply. The lack of minimum criteria means that you’re never automatically put into one decision category or the other. Your application and everyone else’s will be read at least twice from cover to cover. Just do your best to present yourself as a dynamic person in an out of class.

What your intended major is has no bearing on the admission process.
