What are my chances for Rutgers Engineering, Computer Science, and Business? (New Brunswick)

Hi, I’m a rising senior and I’m trying to get into Rutgers New Brunswick Engineering,Computer Science or Business
My first choice will be Engineering.
These are some infos

living in: New Jersey (in state)
Ethnicity: Asian
SAT: 1500 (790 math, 710 english)
SAT subject tests: 800 math level 2, taking chemistry on august, aiming for 800
GPA: Freshmen and sophomore year - (weighed) - 3.68. Combining junior year, it will go slightly down to 3.65.
I’m currently attending to somewhat competitive public school just so you guys know.
I haven’t started on my essay but I think it will be decent.
My next year (senior year) schedule

  • English 4, AP Japanese, AP psychology, Engineering Design honors, Biology, WorldCiv, PreCalculus

My EC is not weak but not strong.

  • 150+ volunteering
  • President award for volunteer
    -National honor society
-3 years of Track and field
    -Piano award (not significant)
-Chess, badminton, Korean, Japanese, multicultural, military history club for 2~3 years

My concern is that, as you guys can see, I’m taking Precalculus in senior year. I’m going to ask my counselor if I can take pre calc in summer and calc in senior year but I don’t think my school will let me do that. So I’m taking SAT subject tests to let the colleges know that I’m not bad at math and I am ready for calculus.

If possible, please chance to for Penn state and UMD engineering too!
Thank you

With your strong SAT score and your in- state residency, I think you have a strong shot at Rutgers engineering. Although you are taking precalculus as a senior, your SAT Math as well as your subject tests show that you are a very strong math student. In regards to PSU and UMD, both schools are heavily into GPA. While yours is a bit on the lower side for engineering, I still don’t think it will hurt you if the rest of your application is solid. Good luck!

thank you so much!
