Hi,
I am a freshman in Cornell engineering and wanna transfer to Stanford. I just wanted hear from you guys about my chances.
My stats:
International student
Sponsored by one of the universities in my country (along with a reccomendation from the Dean of engineering-so I will not apply for financial aid)
94.4 high school gpa (3rd in the year)
3.91 first semester gpa at Cornell (dean's list)
A very good recommendation from a Stanford PhD professor at Cornell
Intensive research with the professor above
A very good reason (Cornell does not offer the major that I am looking for)
SAT IIs: Math2c:800, Chem:800, Physics:800
SAT I: reading 600, writing 640, math 800
TOEFL 280(/300)
focused essays and an application with a strong theme
extra curricular: strong in high school but not that strong in college(it is my first semester)
I got rejected by Stanford in freshman admissions.
---thank you..
